About

My name is Samantha. I am currently pursuing my master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Central Florida, set to graduate in May 2024. I am particularly interested in Computer Graphics for animation. I am proficient in C/C++, Python, and Java. Additionally, I have some graphics rendering experience using OpenGL, Houdini and Nuke. I love coding and I'm always looking to learn something new!

Since I was a young girl I knew I wanted to pursue a career in STEM. I have always been fascinated by science and new technology. I graduated with my bachelor's in Computer Engineering and discovered I have a true passion for computer science and software development.

As a woman engineer, I am a big advocate for women who pursue careers in STEM. I am currently president and founder of Girls Who Code at UCF. I started this organization to provide women with a safe space to learn to code and collaborate. And it has been such a rewarding experience!
